A Rainwater Harvest system is very common in new homes and appartment complexes today. The aim is to use rainwater in irrigation and the toilets in the ever increasing efforts to conserve water- which is our most valuable resource. A rainwater harvest system in its basic form is a tank which collects the rainwater from the roof guttering and a pump system which sends this water to the outdoor taps and to the toilets of the dwelling. Should the rainwater that is stored in the tank, the rainwater pump is automatically disconnected and mains/town water is switched into this pipework instead.
